A real estate agent is someone who assists people in buying or selling a house or property. This can range from humble plots of land and small starter homes to exotic islands and luxury mansions. One can work as a listing agent, helping a client sell a home, or as a buyer’s agent, assisting the client in purchasing a home. Real estate agents are used worldwide as the need to buy and sell homes and properties has always existed and will continue to do so. It’s a good business if you are honest and loyal to your client.

The geographic area in which an agent works is their area of specialization. They are familiar with trends within the local real estate market, local laws regarding property buying and selling, as well as competitive prices of various properties their clients wish to buy or sell.

An agent acts as an intermediary between two parties looking to buy or sell a property. Real estate agents have the skills and experience to market the property and sell it at the best possible price and conditions, or to find a property that fits the client’s needs and purchase it at the best possible price with the most favorable terms.

Negotiation is a key part of the real estate agent’s job, as they act as a mediator between the buyer and the seller and often negotiate on behalf of their client. Real estate agents charge a percentage of the final sale price as a fee.
